SEATTLE – March 12, 2015 – The Pacific Institute®, a global consultancy based in Seattle, Washington, today announced that ownership of the firm has transitioned from co-founder Diane Tice to a new group of owners from the Institute’s U.S. Operations team. The new owners include Joe and Sheri Atteridge, Mario Rappaccioli, Dr. Joe Pace, Mark Panciera, and Rosie Baker. Collectively, the group has more than 100 years of management experience with the Institute.“I’m pleased to announce the next phase of our growth plan,” said Diane Tice, co-founder of The Pacific Institute. “After careful consideration, I selected the new owners based on their long-term relationship and proven track record with the Institute, their experience running successful businesses, and their strong financial capability. I’m confident this change brings forth new opportunities while ensuring continuity with our mission and values.”
Founders Diane and Lou Tice began planning for the future of the Institute several years ago. With Lou Tice’s passing in 2012, the firm’s evolution was accelerated.
The current transition enables the Institute to expand and advance its solution set. At the same time, it ensures the firm will remain focused on its core purpose: helping clients learn how their beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors can support or inhibit positive outcomes in their careers and everyday lives, as well as how culture impacts the performance of organizations and their members.
In conjunction with the change in ownership, members of the Institute’s leadership team will assume the following roles, collaborating to provide clients with customized programs that generate meaningful results.
- Joe Atteridge, Managing Partner: Atteridge will oversee the firm’s strategic initiatives and global integration. He previously served as CEO of the Institute’s U.S. Operations team and brings significant leadership experience with multinational corporations in various industries to his new role.
- Scott Sproull, Chief Executive Officer: In his new role, Sproull will lead the strategic development of the Institute’s operations worldwide. He previously served as President of the Institute and has deep expertise leading business development and marketing functions at global organizations.
- Jack Fitterer, Executive Advisor: Fitterer will support strategic initiatives, business development, and integration, working closely with Atteridge and Sproull, over the course of the next year. He previously served as CEO of the Institute and has nearly four decades of leadership experience with the firm.
- Diane Tice, Global Ambassador: As Tice opts to begin her retirement, she will represent the Institute at events and participate in special initiatives. Since the Institute’s founding, she has helped deploy its curriculum around the world, empowering individuals and organizations to create positive change.
“We see this as an exciting new chapter for the Institute,” said Atteridge. “As we move forward, we want to honor and recognize Diane Tice, her late husband Lou Tice, and Jack Fitterer for the strong foundation they’ve built for the firm over the last four decades.”Since 1971, the Institute has driven significant transformation, guiding global companies down a path toward better productivity, fostering peaceful discussions in Northern Ireland, empowering Guatemala’s education sector, and leading Olympic athletes to victory.
